Hello everyone
I yesterday updated my VCDS software to version 25.3, and when I tried to run a scan, I was not able to.
I have a Hex-V2 connector (original Ross-Tech...).
As soon as I opened the software, it prompted me to update / check my firmware, and all options were greyed out / not able to click.
In order to be able to use the scan function, perform the following steps: -
1. Connect cable to OBD port and computer
2. Open VCDS (always "open as admin...")
3. Click on "Options" (bottom right)
4. Click on "Config"
5. Select "Update" tab
6. Click on "Check for updates"
- Update if required
- Then close this window
7. Click on "Test" in the original "Options" window
8. If Test ok, CLICK ON SAVE!!!
9. Return to main window, and you will be able to scan etc
It is very important that you click on SAVE
I hope this helps someone
